In 2018, Brooky came to Sydney fresh from a dominant under 19 world cup campaign. Harry would lace up for UNSW's 1st grade side as well as their Poidevin Gray Shield side (under 21). We first saw Harry come to the facility with another professional we were working with, Connor Brown and were immediately impressed. For the next couple months we would assist Brooky with his game as well as let him use the facility whenever he needed.
We often get asked the question of who the best professional cricketer is who has trained with us and the immediate answer is always Harry.
Harry possessed the talent of being able to access every part of the field at will and hit the ball scarily hard as well. It isn't often we see a cricketer able to hit a clean hard ball and have soft hands but Brooky displayed this talent at 20 years old. Harry is obviously an impressive talent but the memory that stands out is how good a person he is.
Brooky would finish his time in Sydney having scored 1000 runs which is an impressive feat as an overseas professional. After his time in Sydney we knew his time would come. At the beginning of this year I mentioned in a conversation with him, "when you test debut this year, sign a playing shirt and send it our way to frame". His response was, "We'll see if I play first".
We knew.
We are so happy for the man! Massive career ahead!
