We are privileged to have one of Australia's greatest baseballers join our crew as a specialist coach. Trent, as a strong left handed batsmen and outfielder specialises in power hitting and fielding and will take our elite squads this pre season.

Trent was signed by the Minnesota Twins in 2001 but would make his MLB debut for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2009. His consistent performances continued in the 2009 World Baseball Classic for Australia where he batted 6 for 12 in the tournament.
His debut saw him record his first major league hit against Pittsburgh Pirates. He would then steal his first major league base and then hit his first home run in the big leagues off Jesse Chavez blasting it over the right field wall. Oeltjen finished the game 2 for 6 with an RBI and two stolen bases.
On 11th of August 2009, Trent was one hit shy of the cycle in a four hit game. The four hits meant that he became the fifth player in the "expansion era" since 1061 to have twelve hits in the first five major league games played.
Back track to 2004, Trent would join the Australian camp in the Athens Olympics where Australia would finish with a Silver Medal.
Trent will continue to work with our athletes with their power hitting and fielding. He was been working with athletes such as Nick Larkin (NSW & Melbourne Stars), Jason Sangha (NSW & Sydney Thunder and Hayden Kerr (NSW & Sydney Sixers). We cannot wait for Trent to arrive from California and get back in our facility!
