Russel Arnold is a former Sri Lankan international cricketer and current commentator. He has played 44 tests, 180 one day internationals and 1 international T20.
Arnold made his Test and One Day International debut in the same year against South Africa. He is most famous in the pearl island as a very versatile player, making him ideally suitable for the limited over version of the game. However, when he started his career, he was seen primarily as a solid top order batsmen where he impressed against Australia in 1999. Dev Whatmore who was the Sri Lankan coach then believed he was best suited for a lower order role as a finisher. Arnold would score a total of 3950 One Day International runs at 35.26 and a highest score of 103 and 1821 Test runs at 28.01 and a highest score of 123.
A huge thank you to Russel for helping our cricketers in their own journey and our doors are always open to him.
