Wicketkeeper Will Buttleman made his debut in Essex's 2019 Championship winning season. Will made his debut in Essex's opening match taking one catch in an innings defeat at the Ageas Bowl (their only loss of the campaign).

Will has spent two seasons out in Sydney now playing grade cricket in preparation for a big summer back home in England. Will has had a great season for Northern Districts scoring 597 runs with a top score of 103 and we are only half way through the season!
