In 2018 and 2019 George spent the English winter in Australia playing for North Sydney Bears in the NSW Premier Cricket Competition. In 2018, George scored 523 runs including a top score of 153 for North Sydney.

Back in England, George was picked in the England Under 19 squad in 2018 and was granted a contract with Lancashire County Cricket Club. In 2020, George made his first class debut for Lancashire against Derbyshire and scored 52 against Essex in a one day match in Manchester.
